elcome!

The Shire of Glaedenfeld is a local chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), a not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to the researching and reenacting life in the Middle Ages and Renaissance. We strive to bring the past to life through the study and practice of skills that were common between the years 600 A.D. and 1600 A.D. If you are interested in anything from sword play to sewing, horseback riding to herbalism, you will find many things to learn and do in the SCA.

Our local group has regular meetings and practices in which to learn, teach and socialize. If you live in or near the Nashville Metropolitan area and are interested in what we do, feel free to join us at any of the scheduled local gatherings or weekend long events that we sponsor. If you would like more information, you may contact any of the Shire Officers via their listings on the Contacts page. New members are always welcome in our fair Shire. We hope you will join us on our exciting journey into the past!

Fighter practices will be taking place at the Bicentennial Mall in downtown Nashville (in front of the State Capital building) on Sundays at 1pm and also on Tuesdays at 6pm. If you need directions, they are posted in the Yahoo group or go to the Contacts page and e-mail ether the Seneshal or Knight Marshal.

Archery Practice will be located at 3809 Whites Creek Pike, Nashville. Take your best route to Briley Pkwy on the north side of town, get off at Whites Creek Pike. Go just under 1 mile north of Briley and look for a white house w/black shutters on the right side just before a nursery. Park in front of the house and knock on the front door. The next confirmed practice will be on June 14th at 10am. For questions about local archery activities, including future practice dates, please email the Group Live Weapons Marshal.
